Marathon Maniac #957
For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard...
Here’s what I have for last week’s tally. I know more of you are out there running, but not much time for posting, but we're thinking about you!

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Thanks, Holly! I'm still hangin' in there. Hopefully, I'll continue with another 40 miles for this week...we'll see...

Nice job Rob!
Holly--my job is going okay. I've been behind a desk and in the office for the past 30 years and this job isn't like that. It will take some getting used to and they're expecting a lot out of me--maybe more that I have--but I'm going to give it my best shot. They really are a great company--it's just so different for me. Plus the pay is a whole lot less, so that's kind of a bummer, too...but it's better than unemployment!

Mike - I'm sorry to hear this. Hopefully it will get better, or at least this will keep you working for now and you can keep looking elsewhere.
