Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
I'll be back in the 40 zone this week and trying to focus more on quality since recovery from a marathon takes awhile even if I am getting excited about NYC already.

Hi runhikebird! Nice running
Three weeks and counting for NY, the closer we get the less confident I am in having a good race as my hips / glutes are still giveing me problems., We'll see what happens, I'm hoping for a better week this week.
Thanks Holly!

Thanks Holly.
Good luck to all racing this weekend.
Not at it at all.
The Columbus Marathon week has arrived. I'm not nervous (yet) and I seem sort of confident, which is a little unusual for me. I'm excited to meet Holly, BuckeyeChamp, Rosie, DG9 and others. We'll see what the Raceday holds for me!

Columbus Marathon - I love it when a Plan comes
together. A BQ 3:45:40 with 19 secs to spare!
A thrilling weekend with some Amazing Friends!
"Some are the strong, silent type. You can't put your finger on exactly what it is they bring to the table until you run without them and then you realize that their steadiness fills a hole that leaks energy in their absence." - Kristin Armstrong
Slimbo-----Fabulous race at Steamtown----did I read it right that this was a 30 minute PR and a BQ? Hot dang! Thanks for the note -- however -- NOT A BQ -- needed a 3:20 ... ran a 3:31 ... technically a 28 minute PR ... gotta find another 10 minutes [it was 40 minutes ... 10 seems like a more managable goal.]

Thanks Holly,
Need a pass this week of Taper/Healing.
Ran a slow 2 miles Monday then took off Tues-Fri and ran slow 5 miles Saturday, then saw Dr and got my knee drained (yuk) after and had a much better 17.1 miles (8:51 with hills) on Sunday for a total of 24.1 miles. The Dr said I'm fine to run the marathon but need to get the knee fixed later.
Should be on track for 40+ again
