To me, life is like the back nine in golf. Sometimes you play better on the back nine. You may not be stronger, but hopefully you're wiser. And if you keep most of your marbles intact, you can add a note of wisdom to the coming generation. (Clint Eastwood)

Evanflein, you had an awesome week last week, even with all that travel! Congrats on your PR mileage, and enjoy the cutback week.
Leslie, you got-er done too amongst the travel, with some shopping cross training to boot! Looks like you're gearing up for another big mileage weekend.
Wooohooo....pfriese had a 5K PR. Way to go!!!
Summer vacation is winding down, so it's time for me to start acting like I'm on vacation.
Monday - went to the beach (!!!); leisurely walk of about 2 miles in a little under 2 hours, lots of stopping to examine shells and shorebirds
Tuesday - paddled for 2-1/2 hours - hard for nearly all of it
Wednesday - ran 3.5 & walked 4.0 on the way hot boardwalk after sleeping much too late
Thursday - home to PA again for another round of tests and doctor's appointments with mom; today I'm going in with her and telling the doc to stop pussyfooting around - we both want to get back to the beach!!!!!
Friday - ran 5.5 and walked 3.5 in yet more heat and humidity, but the winds from the nearby hurricane at least kept my face relatively sweat-free
Saturday -
Sunday -
Have a good week, everyone!
