Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Going to need a Pass this week.
Feeling better today but still a day a way from trying some recovery miles on Wed.
M -- 0 does walking down stairs sideways count. Actually walking around feels better than sitting and then trying to walk. Ended up working standing up part of day.
T -- 0 may hit the pool and whirlpool at the gym. Ended up with 1 Hr of Deep water running / Swimming ... Felt Good
W -- 3 miles Recovery - - Opted for csaution and 2 mile walk instead as did not fully pass the "Can walk down stairs without struggle" test
TH -- ?? See how wed feels -- Ran 5 pretty good recovery miles. started of stiff but by end the run served its purpose. Funny thing is the other muscles are more sore than hammy now. I guess running with a alterded stride with 1 peg leg took its toll on other muscles as lowerback, hips, glutes have been extremely tight and surprisingly the opposite Quad. Swimming/Deep Water Running in AM.
FR -- 4 Easy Miles in evening, 1 hr Gym in AM (Speedrope, med ball, boxing, light weights)
Sat -- 3 miles Treadmill, 30 min Ellyptical, 30 min Pool
Sun -- 8 Easy Miles
Total - 20 miles
BTW -- Signed up for Rocket City (12/12/09) as have not given up on 3:45 for 2009

Hi all, I guess I'm back. Decided to start another running schedule. No injuries just toasted after all the hot/humid running. Mon: rest - complete (just like I love to start the week out) Tues: 12 miles - 12 miles, long run pace, felt harder than it should have.. legs were tired after 6 miles. Wed: 11 miles - 9.0 miles, legs of lead Thurs: 5 miles - 7.8 miles, slow and easy, legs loosened up after 3 miles Fri: 9 miles - 9.0 miles including 8x800 @ tempo with 8x400 easy interval. legs felt better at a faster pace. Sat: 5 miles - 5.0 miles, nice easy run, legs feeling better Sun: 17 miles - 18.0 miles, lots of hills, fairly easy pace, run much better than expected. Total: 60.8 miles
