Had no late race fall-off, didnt hit the wall. Ran steady even pace. VERY happy about that.

Trying to see what my next adventure will be for training. So this week is just base. Until I have an epiphany. Any ideas? I'm thinking short 5k and hammering it out this summer.

Way to get back at it, SubDood.  It was nice to meet you in Boston.  I met a guy at our hotel Tuesday morning who was on crutches from tearing his meniscus halfway through.  He finished anyway! Kinda puts cramps in perspective.

Thanks, FO! Good meeting you too. I think my recovery is going well. Cramps are bad, but temporary -- I'm already thinking about another marathon on June 1st.

SubDood, sounds very familiar. I started cramping a bit around mile 18, and then it was

on and off until the end. Luckily it was not too bad and it did not slow me down too much,

just looked funny with the right foot pointing all the way to the left rather than forward

3:00:26 on Monday. yes, just 1 second per mile too slow.

oh well. it was a beautiful day to run and I really enjoyed

the atmosphere, the crowds and the whole thing.

it was great. my 10th Boston

I hope it's ok to congratulate and thank each other in this thread ...

IBUB -- Congrats on yet another marathon. I am about to sign up for a "rebound" marathon. After Boston on 4/21, my next one may be on 6/1, which sounded way too soon for me ... until I saw that you will do 3 marathons within that span. Just Wow.

Alexander R -- 1 second per mile "too slow" is not exactly what I was thinking when I saw your 3:00:26 Boston time. That's phenomenal. Congrats!

Mike E -- I've been meaning to say "Thanks!" for some very nice comments you made in the Boston Tracking thread. It is humbling to think that I have internet friends tracking my progress and agonizing with me from afar. Thanks!!

There is a very nice silver lining in being reduced to a walk/slog during the last few miles at Boston.  MarathonFoto took LOTS of pictures of me (51 photos!), many of which show me high-fiving spectators and smiling. I bought the full package -- seemed like a bargain on a per-photo basis!

Thanks SubDood. Had a good race today, steady pace, and really didnt even try hard. The idea for me is to get used to this distance.

Looks like I've done 4 marathons in 4 states in 43 days. But by the end of this week, it will have been 4 marathons and 2 half marathons in 36 days.
