The one in Corning looks fast until you read the elevations - it only loses 200 ft in 26 miles. That counts as flat in my book! I guess Colorado marathons are out - even the downhill ones are at high altitude, and that would be tough for a flatlander. But if anyone wants to come out here, you could crash at my place to save $. 3.2 easy miles today around the office park - that's all I had time for before a conference call. My dogs get overly excited when I'm dressing for a run, and they knock over anything and everything, and wrestle with each other and make it hard for me to tie my shoes. But when we come home from a run, they flop down and don't move for a few hours.
I hammered down the trail, passing rocks and trees like they were standing still.
