Worth the Weight.... (Read 574 times)

Marathon Maniac #957

    Down 2 lbs this week.

4 more to go to get to my happy place.....

but I'd settle for a solid and stable 3...

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Weighed in at 147.  My happy place is still hovering around 5-7 lbs away.

Back down a couple, so that's good. Would still like to lose a few before I really have to start hauling my butt up Ester Dome for the Equinox... but oh well. Staying around 140 is good.

as for me, I've no idea... my scale,  I think, needs to have a cut-back month.

but I just heard about this site.  it looks interesting!   trying this again (thanks Andrew)

..well, I can't seem to get the address to work as a link (hmmm, look I'm blue & I'm underlined Wink )    but if you type it in the address bar it works.  funny.

            Trails are hard!

We're up in maine, which is both a good thing and a bad thing.  We tend to eat very well on vacation, but the scale up here is at least 4-5 pound light.  which makes me feel better about things until I get home and re-enter real life on everything.

Need a fast half for late fall.  Then I need to actually train for it.

Seems like everyone is doing well with a few notable exceptions.

I held my own the last two weeks and am still at 165.

down 2  to 167  7 more to go.  If I could just put together a couple good weeks with no beer on the weekends I could probably get there. Naw! Thats silly talk isn't it ?

                    Good luck folks

Oh, this must be the weight-loss thread, kul....

Started last week (7/19) at 140 (yikes!), finished it at 137. I'm only 5'2.5" and saying I'm "big boned" will only get me so far. Used to be just eating "reasonably" would help me maintain at around 127-130, putting me at a size 4 or less (BMI be damned!). But obviously my receding hormones don't take kindly to that tactic anymore.

So. Here I am, counting points and drinking my green tea, and virtually eliminating my beloved comfort foods (cheese and beer).

Oh, have I mentioned that I talk too much?

Ahem. 137, down 3 from last week. hmpf

                        ...I love it......

I'll weigh in Sunday or ''Beached'' as I refer to it.

..nothing takes the place of persistence.....

                              just found this on NPR

                              Australia and Germany

are considering a ''Fat Tax'' to control their obesity epidemics.

.........he ended with ''and the Germans don't have a good Track Record sending people to Camps''

I know, but it DID get my attention.....
