Barefoot Runner

Finally, after three previous years of balmy 40 and 50 degree temps, this year's Polar Barefoot Run lived up to its name. . . . 20 degrees with a NNW wind gusting to 35 mph! So, needless to say the wind chill was well below zero! Of far greater importance than our daring (or foolishness as some might judge!) was that the Run for Mobility and the Free Wheelchair Mission got some more press.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Rick - we're impressed with your dedication too, . . . and for at last finding a smooth, sole-friendly looking course! any slippage or falls?
It's a new year but you're as crazy as ever. Dark Horse
Amazing, simply amazing.
Oh, that makes my feet hurt just looking at it....
Rick, You continue to amaze people everywhere with your barefoot runs! Way to go on the running in the wintery conditions. I hope that your efforts were able to provide mobility for some more people in need. Keep going! P.S. Someday I will run barefoot with you! John
Oh my goodness....this is amazing. You can tell you love what you do and are good at it as well. I feel a need to find some thick woolen socks right now, but I am impressed no less. Thanks for sharing the report and the details! Good running too CNYrunner
