        Thr 1  - 5.1 m. Jog #1 of day.

        Thr 2  - 7 m. 1 mile w/u,, 6 miles @ 7:39

        F - 7 m. Same as above.

        Sat 1 - 5 m. Under 8 min pace.

        Sat 2  - 6 m. jog

        S - 11 m. Under 9 min pace.

         

        Total - 64.25 miles this week.

            MTA: Lots of snow to shovel. It finally stopped snowing ... when temps dropped below about 5 degrees.

              First night trail run in a week, was warm enough to wear shorts.

              Wow was it foggy tonight; I ran off the trail once and nearly did it two more times.

              Freezing rain and sleet started at about mile 2; at the 6 mile mark my headlamp started shorting out and during one blackout I tripped on a rock and fell so hard my hat flew off into the woods.  I pulled the batteries out, dried everything off as well as I could and managed to get back to my car without crashing again.

              Got to the trail head at 3:15 and realized I forgot my headlamp; sun sets at 4:10, so I ran as hard as I could and got done just as the final twilight of the day was gone.

              After yesterday's fast pace, I slowed it down to about a ten minute pace and kept going, and going, and going; my longest single run since 1979.
