Trails are hard!
Ok I'll play. These pics are from my 10 miler in China. 95 deg, humid, and much closer to the equator than New England. I think 8 laps around the park plus getting there and back got me 10 miles, and 10 pounds lighter (felt sick, that is too much water to lose). Click on the first pic to see captions. not sure if I did either, but let's see how it works.
Need a fast half for late fall. Then I need to actually train for it.
Nice pics, Pro!

Courage ! Do one brave thing today...then run like hell.
Isn't the Columbia Gorge beautiful, Sarge? One of the most spectacular rivers I've ever seen.

DW and I wanted to surprise Dad on his 75th birthday. His sisters threw a party for him in Florida. He had no clue we were coming down.
We needed a place to hide.
That spot was taken.
We decided to hide in the men's restroom at the park. When Dad headed that way, we scampered to the ladies room. Two women came in and they were not as happy to see me as they could have been.
My aunts wanted to rent a costume for me so I could really make him proud. I told them to save their money.
An hour later, my step sister showed up.
The kids started calling me "Uncle Batman"
Dad tried talking his way out of a ticket and get a phone number at the same time. The ranger ate a lot of cake.
I got crabs
SteveP
There's dolphins in there somewhere. They got close, but did not hold still.
This looked fun
Fun pics, SteveP. Well, except for that 2nd to the last one. I'm not so sure about that one. . . . Love the Batman shirt, thought.
Yeah, could do without Batman in a speedo... but great pictures of your dad's party! Your DW is a very patient woman.
Yeah, could do without Batman in a speedo...
I just opened this thread. All the pictures are a RED X.
I think I'm glad !

I just realized Steve posted new pictures...cool shirt! I know I'm going to laugh when Steve posts something...he did not dissapoint me.
It also reminded me that I have a couple of pictures from my trip with my son...I should post those here...
I just thought I'd post a few pictures here from my Bear Lake Marathon trip with my son.
He really was not thrilled with having his picture taken with fake people...
I don't know why not...I think it's fun...
I couldn't really get him to warm up to the corn cob statue either...
Now, who wouldn't love getting to sit on a big jackalope statue?
I know I sure did...
He did like Wall Drug enough that we had go back on our return trip, though...
And he got to see Mount Rushmore...we never saw their rear ends, though, which was dissapointing...
This was at the motel we stayed at...
Looking down the street our motel was on...
Bear Lake....
My photography really doesn't do this place justice...it really is a nice place and a great place to do a couple of marathons. I know I had a great time...and I think Eric did, too.
Okay--that's it.
Great pics, Mike! I'm thinking Eric thought the same thing a lot of kids would have, "Dad! Why are you doing this to ME?!?" Good lookin' kid under all that hair. Color me jealous re the hair as I am going to be one of those little old ladies with the big do trying to cover the bald spots. Hope you two have more good times together.
My classy runner dream come true...running Marathon in it's original course.
This picture was taken the day I ran THE MARATHON...yes...I walked for over 10 hours before the race...and had a blast...how can I not?
Then. of course there is my favorite skiing trip last winter, Red Mt. BC.

Mariposai, you should try selling that last ski picture to the local tourist agency, wow.
