November '17 Master's Miles (Read 35 times)

119.7 so that involves some tapering for & recovery from my big race, the Revel Mt. Lemmon half marathon, where I ran the fastest at that distance since January '10.

"I didn’t run a race until I was 41 and that was a marathon! Let that sink in for a minute." -me

105 for November, one week was only 9 miles, though.

256.2 for November.  I can't remember the annual total, but do know it's well over 2500 miles.  Only race was the Richmond Marathon, which wound up being my first BQ since Boston 2013, and got to meet MikeE and Tramps.  Also got home for Thanksgiving (for the first time since Memorial Day) and got to do a lot group runs with friends I have been able to see much of the last two years.  So a great month.

Falconfixer & HermosaBoy - I am very impressed with your month & year-to-date mileages.

I've had a wonderful 2+ years of full-time running. Mileage-wise I peaked in May thru July, running 203.7, 208.2 & 228 monthly miles. I was feeling really good about the mileage. My 1st marathon was an experience this year, and tomorrow I will eclipse 2,000 miles for the year. It will most likely be the only time in the future I hit 2,000, and no plans/desire for a future 2nd marathon. What impresses me most about your accomplishments is the dedication of time that goes with those miles. You definitely speed up time compared to me as you are both much faster. But I found in training that 8.5 miles in 1:15:00 was my limit for the daily regular runs. I had a streak of 13 10-milers, with 2 LR's of 16 & 17 miles. I honestly just couldn't log more annual miles onto this body. You guys have built yourselves up to this level, and it's fun to watch from afar. You are "those guys/girls" to me that I have no desire to compete with. I've pretty much reached my running limit, and am happily back to HM training which for me is 35-40 weekly miles.

152 RW miles for November. I raced 2 5Ks for the fun of it, including, as Stumpy mentioned, a mini-meet-up with Stumpy, Marj, and Henrun.

I agree with Metalmancpa that there are people on this forum who are incredible runners, and with whom I can never compete in respect to mileage or speed. However, they are also very inspirational and motivating, and so I'm glad they are posting here.

only thing notable was a 1st AG in a 9 mile race. Helped that there were only 2 in my AG and all the fast runners chose the 5K.
