Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Just a dude.
Dunno how this will work. Gotta get my leg fixed. So I guess count me out this week.
Tried some eliptical today for the first time, and that didn't seem to hurt. Worked muscles differently for sure, which was a good workout all in its own... /shrug
Thanks!

Getting back in shape... Just need it to be a skinnier shape...

Kelly--that really stinks about your leg. You tried fighting through it last week...I think you're smart to take some time to take care of it. I hope you're back in here real soon.
Thanks Holly! My training weeks are off, now, until I do another race to put it back on track. But here’s the plan for the week…

Yeah... I took 4 days off. It felt pretty good for a week, and then started to deteriorate. So I guess I need to take more days off or something. Or see a doc. That's kinda the plan right now. Try more time off and if that doesn't fix it, talk to an expert... /shrug
Since the elliptical seems to be fine, I'll do that. Maybe a pool run on the weekend. Mostly I need to keep working to get the weight off... That's goal #1 right now. (Still over 200 lbs... :-/ )
Thanks Holly.

Got my main goal of going under 1:01.
I thought I might get close to 1hr if all the stars align,
but after the first three miles it was clear that breaking 1hr
is not happening
Ended up with 4 hours 45 minutes on the eliptical, 2 hours pool running, and 4.3 miles running. The running showed that the leg is better but still not right so it will probably look close to the same next week. Bummer.
