I guess getting old is making sure I never will be anymore as my test trial run in Japanese wooden geta for a sub-seven hour in today`s marathon over here in Japan fizzled to a 7:48:32 so the 7hr cutoff in February`s Tokyo Marathon is not going to happen in them. I`ll try my favorite lightweight straw waraji sandals in next weekend`s last of four marathon fit in on the weekend during this trip. oh well

I am slowly getting back on track, Tetsujin! The sciatic pain is gone and now I am taking it slow and easy building miles and upping the pace. The half marathon went well. I am happy!
