thanks for sharing your experience with our dreaded friend Arthur Ritis. . I finally got some X-rays, now called imaging, and was told exactly what you had said
(but you didn’t charge $600) about:
(1) “tricompartmental osteoarthritis in the patellofemoral compartment
with subchrondral scierosis, subchondral cysts and osteophytes
on the tibial projections of intercondylar notch” and
(2) “mild subchrondral sclerosis, cysts and ostophytes
along the symphytic and sacroiliac margins.”
.
Fortunately, there was “no lateral patellic subluxation to the trochlea” so, as you had already predicted,
with low impact running and stifling my competitive urges, it should be possible still to enjoy slower-paced marathons and other physical activities for another 10 - 15 years and more. Just what the doctor ordered.
Thanks again.
