Marathon Maniac #957
For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard...
Here’s what I have for last week’s tally.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Thanks Holly! You already recorded 0 miles for Monday and it's not Monday, yet. You might run a couple by accident or something. Anyway--this is my plan for the week...that I won't be able to follow because we have our tax appointment on Tuesday...and I might jump off a bridge on the way home...

Thanks, Holly! Especially for counting my ski miles -- they don't count in that silly "2016 in 2016" game that I'm in, which really stinks because my team really could've used 34.7 more miles that week!
Oh, and more skiing to come this week. Not sure if I'll do any running while I'm out there (Grand Targhee, Wyoming).

Sun 13.4 mi (1:47) outdoor track
Total: 71 miles ( 9 hrs 33 min)
Today at the track attempted to pick up the pace, for miles 6,8,10 and 12, sort of ignoring the messages from my left knee and right Achilles. Ended up running 6:55, 6:44, 6:26 and 6:22. Did not go well, esp the first mile
Holly, Thanks but I wasn't close enough last week. Again this week I only did 30 and next week should be another 30-35, but after that I hope to get back above 40. MM480
