Wow – I thought you only ran every other day?

I'm just trying to keep up with the rest of you guys.  Running slower has allowed me to put in more days of running--I have to admit--I'm amazed.  I've only got two weeks, though, before I have to start tapering.  These races get in the way of some good running, sometimes.

Here's what the plan calls for this week--hopefully I'll do a little more.

I did slow down.  Average pace in Oct 2011 was 7:14--average pace in Feb 2012 was 7:47.  But, then I added more miles.  I'll be okay.  I've got one more week of beating myself up and then I'll start to taper.  I love the extra miles.  I almost feel like I did 15 years ago.  I sure hope it pays off in Knoxville.

Bill, another way to do it is to copy one from someone’s post.

                        1. “Quote” the post with the table you want.
                        2. click on “HTML” (far right, top line); this shows you the code
                        3. click and drag to highlight the entire post (be sure to scroll down to the end)
                        4. Right-click your mouse and “copy”
                        5. Hit “cancel” (lower right)
                        6. Go backwards via your browser (so you won’t actually quote)
                        7. Now start a new post
                        8. Click on HTML, and “paste” what you copied
                        9. click on “update” (lower left)

You now have the table plus whatever else was in that original post.  Go through and delete what you don’t want to keep, while keeping the table.

Man, that looks more complicated in writing than it actually is!

Anyway.... I didn't get a chance to post this week but I did get my 40 in....

                        43.9 miles for me.

First week of taper...which oddly comes after my cold-induced radical taper.  Roll eyes

Yes, you did slow down.  Can you now try adding some true recovery runs?  Maybe one or two quality runs and then the other ones are even more leisurely than 7:47?  Just a thought...
