Greta New Year to all!!!
Light month for me due to taper and then a week off after my marathon.
Just short of my annual mileage PR (3,371 back in 2011).
Had a marathon PR at CIM this month.
It was a good year...
And you can quote me as saying I was mis-quoted. Groucho Marx

Milktruck, thank you for taking over for me! I hope you're going to keep my prime number awards, since I will win one for December!
December: 89 miles (prime!)
2016: 1533.7 miles
Well, I couldn't end both the month and the year on a prime, so I went with the month.
I was way behind my goal of 2000 miles for the year, but a stress fracture in the spring put me too far behind to catch up, and so I didn't even try. The last few months have been way down in mileage because we're on the road in our Sprinter van for the winter. On the plus side, I've been doing quite a bit of rock climbing, and I'm getting better at it!
Wishing all of you a happy and healthy 2017.
I hammered down the trail, passing rocks and trees like they were standing still.
Trails are hard!
Have to add a little bit to the bottom of the list--42.1 miles for December. I blame the end of the year travel rush at work. That, and a lack of running when I was home.
I did have one 5K in which I thought I finally got an AG win, when I saw that I was the first 60+ male to cross the line. Minor problem--AG breakdown was 40-99 And 5 of the first 10 OA were over 40. Oh well.
Oh, yeah. 545 for the year. Pace bunny kicked my butt. But I'm setting up for 1000 miles again--eternal optimist.
Need a fast half for late fall. Then I need to actually train for it.
Love the clam, Stumpy! Tramps, that is one heck of a goal coming off of an injury.
I had the most miles ever this year at 606, only 13 miles in December due to a surgical procedure in November. I feel good now and have a goal of 1000 miles for the year, so just 7.79 more miles every week. Also, would like to get at least one 100 mile month. Also would like to get more biking in this year, only 293 for last year. I am going to try a tri in May too. There, I said it so I'm gonna do it!
I finished 3 half marathons this year and finished 12/79 AG in Portland (after they adjusted the time). Most eventful were the two RA meetups in Green Bay and Portland. What fun to meet so many fun people and their spouses. I loved every minute of it, even the rain in Portland!

Whew! I made it! Thanks for waiting milktruck.
Another down month in December and my total miles for 2016 were not what I wanted...lowest in 5 or 6 years. BUT I met a whole bunch of great people in 2016 with my trips to the two coasts--and that is way more important than the miles.
December: 47
2016: 1481

me too.
December - zilchy miles.
YTD - 513.63 miles for second time
in ten years exceeding 500-miles.
However, six marathons, including
fasted marathon in five years at the Portland
Reunion Run (6:00:37) helped celebrate year
no. 40 of at least one marathon a year since 1977.
.
ps milktruck - since the monthly is my running log,
zero miles are posted for my reverence only but,
since they aren't anything, be sure not to include
in the average/median calculations or awards, etc.
for everybody else. thanks.
