If quitters never win and winners never quit, who came up with "Quit while you're ahead?"
We're moving the office this week, so any computer time will probably have to wait until I get home in the evenings.

***5+ hours of lifting and moving furniture, boxes, etc. Soon, it will all be over soon!

Friday should be interesting as it is the first day of our school year for my now official Kindergartener. She's dying to start. So am I, actually! I bought some seriously well-written home school tracking software, and it has really helped me see my big picture that I can sometimes lose track of in the minutae of lessons plans and exercises.

This has been a pretty lousy week. On the plus side, I reschedued Jury Duty for November, wasn't confident about feeling well enough to do it.
This is my first tri training cutback week, though there's not a lot from which to cut back. I thought about swapping w/ next week since that includes jury duty with a semi long commute. I guess "but judge this may interfere with my training plan" will probably not work too well, so I'll have to come up with something better.

Hi, guys,
I had planned on a week-long hiatus from all (well, most) things technological in order to make the last week of summer a true vacation, but the proximity of hurricane Danny is foiling my plans today, so I thought I'd check in.
Monday - paddled almost 3 hours under beautiful sunshine on smooth waters - glorious
Tuesday - beach with my perfect godchildren and their adorable 4-month-old cousin (and some of their assorted adult realtives) and 1/2 hour paddle before a perfectly delightful guided beach walk
Wednesday - 2-hour paddle to visit the baby seagulls from earlier in the summer - my babies are all grown up and have flown the coup
Thursday - ran 5; walked 4.5 - feet were killing me from being barefoot or in flip flops nonstop since Sunday morning and then putting on running shoes; sailed in the afternoon
Friday - rain, rain, rain - trying to remind myself that a bad day at the shore beats a good day at work
Saturday - spent most of the day pouting that (1) summer's almost over and (2) the hurricane made it not great for much of anything outside = rest
Sunday - chased my perfect godchildren, on the eldest's 7th birthday, around the beach for about 2 hours; paddled for 1 hour
Summary - ran 5.0; walked 4.5; paddled 6-1/2 hours; untimed kid-wrangling on the beach - not much running, but a lovely end to a lovely summer
