7.5 @ 8:10
Did a 13:00 3k in the middle and jogged the last 3 miles. I guess that means I'm in about 12:15 3k shape if I had been "trying". I'd be happy with an 11:00 in May, so I guess I'm doing alright, since I haven't done any speedwork. There's a couple Masters races at Hayward Field the first week of May; an exhibition 3k on Friday and the Hayward Classic masters meet on Sunday. IF I decide I'm fit/healthy enough, I'd do the 3k and probably the 1500 or "age graded mile" on Sunday. I'd like to do the mile, but since everyone is running at once I'd be lapping some people and it wouldn't be ideal for getting a good time.

Trails Rock!
Hey y'all, I think (hope?) that I've caught up on my sleep as I slept in again this morning. So after work I got in a 10+ mile run at about an 8:15 pace. Nice weather; upper 50s, slight breeze, partly cloudy.
Have a great night everyone!
Tet's stories always make me smile.
Another 35 minutes in the pool. Watching the pace bunny disappear in the distance. *sigh*

I hear you about the bunny disappearing int he distance!
But, we shall overcome this, we shall....
No running for me, but I did walk for 2 miles to and from a meeting. Tomorrow is another run test day. I am not expecting much progress

evanflein I keep meaning to reply to your question about the elliptical and time on it. Reading your workout routine for the elliptical I am impressed you can even do 45 minutes! It sounds like the running equivalent would be 2 minutes easy, 2 minutes at tempo pace, 2 minutes at VO2max, then repeat. I could never keep that up for even 45 minutes.
Writing of elliptical workouts, today I did an hour on it. Tomorrow I hope to do 19 miles. If it is not too cold perhaps I can get myself to do some at marathon pace. Once upon a time I planned to run a 5 mile race on Sunday. Then the weather report said it would rain so I bagged it. Now they say the rain will end by race time. But, with the new semester and my teaching schedule weekends are the only logical days for my long run. Problems problems. No race it is. Not even a tetsujin209 it is raining to provide solace for missing it. Instead it is just work that is in the way. This working stuff can sure interfere with really important stuff!
