Wow Alexander, that's a fast NYC Marathon time. Congrats.

As I said, a big step-back week for me. The plan was for Monday and Tuesday to be rest days, I felt like another day off would help. So, I took Wednesday off, too.

wow! Nice marathon Alexander!  It was exciting to see the NYC back. quite a bit of news coverage out here on the west coast about it.

I had a decent trail marathon. Or at least the first 23 miles were good. Then I fell. hard. on a down hill. I thought I hyperextended my right shoulder based on how swollen it was by the time I finished (yes, I ran it in to cross the finish line!). I went to urgent care later that afternoon because I was concerned how painful it was. ends up I have 2 fractures in my humerus. Awaiting a call from an orthopedist and next step will likely be an MRI to see extent of the soft tissue damage.  But I'm fairly certain my running is done for the year. Looks like I'll be hitting the stationary bike to get in my cardio.

I did get in 37.5 miles last week though, so at least i went out on a good week, completed my first trail marathon, and marathon #6.

Wow Tammy! You're tuff. Sorry for the injury. Your trail cred has certainly moved to the highest level.

Leslie, have a great race in your 50K this weekend.

Tammy, very sorry to hear about the injury ! So you fractured your arm in two places and still finished. I agree with Paul, that is another level. I wish you a speedy recovery!

Leslie, thank you for posting and welcome! I hope your 50k yesterday went well !

Paul, thanks and an interesting approach to reducing mileage, 3 days off then 3 days on. Personally, I would probably spread the off days more evenly, but I'm sure you had your reasons.
