Greetings Boston Bound Masters -- I hope the taper madness isn't too much. 9 days and you storm Hopkinton! Have an awesome time... A solid week for me. The quality is there, but still struggling with the hip (lack of range of motion causing problems in other areas). I am doing what I am supposed to and hope that it will start resolving itself soon since we are coming into racing season. Thanks for keeping this thread alive. When I try to justify sleeping in and skipping my morning runs, this keeps me honest. Big grin Here's the details of my week...
    DayActualCommentary
Sun – AM16.1 in 2:00:48.23 Legs a little beat-up from the 85+ mile week and the hilly course yesterday. Lifting will be a unique treat this afternoon...

Mon – AM4.3 in 35:13.46 Schlog with the dog
Mon – PM7.25 in 53:13.29 Felt pretty good throughout. Includes 8 30 second hill repeats. Used a different hill that is a bit longer but not quite as steep. Nice to switch it up...
Tues – AM4.3 in 33:17.4 Nice to sleep in a bit and get in a run. A little fast, cuz gotta hurry to get to PT...

Wed – PM10.4 in 1:11:19.55 Hip a bit stiff tonight. Better start stepping up the exercises!!!
Thu – AM4.31 in 34:19.47 Another crisp/clear morning. Big, full moon in the west. Nice to get out a little later and watch the sign rise.
Thu – PM REST KeeMan’s track meet
Fri – AM6.1 in 45:31.01 Dropped the car off for an oil change and ran home...
Fri – PM6.3 in 43:25.77 Running down to pick up car. Ran by HR, looking to have AHR at 140 -- looks like I succeeded!
    Sat – AM11.65 in 1:22:363x1 mile @ 6:30 3:00 active recovery 3x1:00 hard/easy 3x1 mile @ 6:30 3x1:00 hard/easy
Sat – PM REST Watching the Masters
Total86.2 in 10:33.13 A solid week – surprised to be above 85 with a missed run and “only” 16 last Sunday. Legs/hips still tight. I hope they start loosening up soon so that I can get some top-end speed. Right now I don’t think I can really compete in shorter races… 
Have a most excellent week everyone!
