Just time for a flyby today. I will try to catch up tomorrow.
I woke up to a message from my coach. He changed my mileage from 5 recovery miles to 1 (to accomodate my streak attempt).
It made me a little sad. lol. FWIW I could very well have ran the original 5 miles recovery mode. But I behaved.

Hello everybody!
deez--I'm really sorry to hear about you having to take so much time off. It sucks--there is no way around it. But--you gotta do it, so feel sorry for yourself for a day...even two...them regroup and figure out what you're going to do. Stay positive! You'll get through it!
Congratulations to TriBee!
Okay...as much as I hate to admit it...I would never tell somebody they have a booger hanging off the end of their nose. A family member...yes...but anybody else...I just can't bring myself to do it. And I would hate somebody for not telling me I had one hanging...I'm actually pretty paranoid about that. Sorry...I'm a loser, plain and simple.
I had a pretty good run, today. It was a strength workout and I was hoping to do the 4 x 1.5 miles in 10 minutes each. I was able to do them in 9:51-9:48-9:41-9:48...with a .5 mile between each. I'm still working too hard to get those times but, I'm happy with the workout.
Okay--that's it. See ya!
Jacob, or as we call him "Jamaicab" was supposed to come down for a pheasants forever banquet this past weekend but he had too much to do on his kitchen remodel project. It wasn't as hard as I thought to run eight my myself. The pace was 13-14 so no speed at all but lots of effort. TThe weather turned warm today, 53Fat 5:00pm, perfect weather with no breeze. Derek, a guy from Celebrate Recovery was running on the opposite side of the street so I yelled his name, then said he had to run backwards since I am the slow one. He actually came over and did just that and had a nice conversation about another race he wants to do. He thinks we can do it with other CR members. He's going to dye his hair pink and wear a tutu if we get enough to go. Maybe I will mention that CR also stands for CoolRunning!
Once around the lake , 4.7 miles in less than an hour! First time that has happened since November. Sure feels good to not have to bundle up so much.

I just love this post!
REST day for my wings, except a 3 miles walk.
