    My goals for 2010:

    • Workout smarter and stay injury-free
    • Compete more in the USATF-NE 'Grand Prix' racewalking races
    • Compete in at least 2 half-marathon
    • Get under a 10 min/mile pace for a 5K
    • Help create more racing opportunities for racewalkers in NH
    • Find a better course for our October 5K

Without ice cream there would be darkness and chaos.

Good luck to all the runners here on their goals for next year|~

after a hamstring tear kept me from running most of 2009 all I want for 2010 is to run pain free.

      Laurie

Shamrock marathon March 2016. Burlington full or relay if I can find a partner May 2016. Wine and Dine half Nov. And a tri or two thrown in just for the hell of it.

        2010 goals

get through the current achiles issue and get in 2,000 miles next year.

get the weight down under 195 and stay there.

the other stuff would then probably take care of itself but the numbers goals would probably have to be sub-19:00 5k and sub 5:00 for 1,500 meters.

then maybe run some 8k cross country meets in the fall for fun.

get the weight down under 195 and stay there.

I know I was pretty vague with my goals but I like this one and should have mentioned it.  If anything held me back in 2009 this was it.

          Thanks for the reminder, Doug.

          Not at it at all.

            Run.

Live like you are dying not like you are afraid to die.

              Maniac 505

Every year on this thread I say my first goal is to run injury free,  some times it works,  some times not.  this year I am not even putting that as a goal since it is a given.

                In 2007 I ran 3:30 or so marathons,  in 2008 I ran 0 marathons,  in 2009 I ran 4:30 or so marathons.

My goal is to run the Bataan death march memorial marathon, strong enough that I can support the purpose of the race

I also hope to get under 4 hours in "normal" maratons

and I have a goal to eat an Oyster in the middle of the Newpoet marathon.  I will let Tet beat me in quantity,  but my Oyster will be better

                    Trails are hard!

Train happily and run a half in April.  But I'll settle for training happily and enough to keep hanging out on this neat running site that I know of.

Need a fast half for late fall.  Then I need to actually train for it.

                        Such a dedicated group!

This is what I would like to accomplish next year:

                        • Stay injury free
                        • Help out at a race or two
                        • Run in some new races
                        • Score some age group awards
                        • break a few of my PR's

                          2010:

                          1. Get back to 2000 miles.
                          2. Run a couple Half Marathons. My last 1/2 M I finished was Indianapolis in 2008.

If I reflect back on 12.31.2010 and meet those 2 goals, I will be satisfied.

                          Philippians 4:13.

Although my mojo isn't really there now I hope it returns so that I can have a year similar to last year:

                            1) Stay healthy

                            2) BQ while running Boston (3:35)

                            3) Break 3:30 for marathon (stretch goal)

                            4) 2000 miles for the year (although if I achieve #1, this should follow)

                            5) Volunteer at least one race

                            6) Run more with the local running club
