Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Thanks Holly.

Concerned about my calf...it was this muscle that I injured earlier this year. Tightened without warning in the last 0.75 mile of Saturday's run. Watched it closely on Sunday and wasn't sure if it was bothering me or not, so I cut Sunday short. I'm going to take things easy for a bit and hopefully avoid significant injury.
Thanks Holly -
M- 6.1
Tues - 6.7 [w/ tempo]
Wed - 6.26 easy
Th - off
Fri - 9 miles [can't really get motivated to do long runs -- felt good]
Sat - stuck in the house
Sun - 4.6 miles - 1.8 in the 5 fingers / run walk with the DW
Total - 33 miles
2012= under-goaled
I need a Free pass as I will reverse taper and run mellow and easy miles---maybe 30 this week, who knows? It's nice to have some unstructured training time before the ramp up to Boston.
It's all good though and I feel super given the NYC marathon on 11/2 and then 2.5 days of work travel and many airplanes.
Good Luck MrPHinNJ and Tim

Not much of a plan this week except run most days as much as I feel will not result in injury and/or delaying full recovery while trying to get back into swing of things for december marathon.
How you maniacs do these multiples on a regular basis I will never know.

40.1 miles for the week. Feeling good on the easy/GA runs. But any striders or faster stuff is not working. I must still be recovering from Columbus.
