deez, sorry to hear you're hurting.  I hope you can get over it quickly.  Nice long runs for Mike and Aamos.

This morning, it was in the low 50s and there was a little wind.  I did 5 miles at a 10:50 pace.

A good day and good runs for all.

Deeze, I know this would never occur to you, but maybe you need to slow down just a but for just a while.

Honestly except for the crazy work hours I have been putting in, my workouts have been pretty tame - take a look at my log. I almost feel like if I work out any less I would be doing nothing at all!!

Should have taken another naproxen before I went to bed last night. Felt ok when I first woke up, but by the time I drove in I could barely walk from the hospital garage to the hospital. It is so ridiculously painful. Took 2 naproxen instead of just 1 and now have been walking the floor as the baby nurse going from delivery to delivery.  I really hope the PT can help tomorrow.

Run a mile for me if you haven't run yet today. Sad to miss my hills and trails group tomorrow. Sad

Deez - I don't know how close any of the specialists are on this list, but I'll throw my 2 cents in about seeing a MAT therapist.  I'm telling you, they are miracle workers, if you can find one near you.  My regular PT poo-poo's it, but it's the only thing that has helped my sciatic nerve issue.  Now whenever I have a flare-up, I go back to doing the exercises I was given, and within a day or two it usually clears.  I've referred so many people to our local MAT group, and every single one of them has been helped and awed by what can be done.  It's like PT on valium, it is so non-invasive.

For the non-FB crowd, this might be the famous picture, but since it didn't copy as a picture, I guess I might not know until after I post it.  We shall see.

ETA--guess you'll have to click.  But worth it.

Need a fast half for late fall.  Then I need to actually train for it.

I believe Rosie actually said, "Why run when you can train," as I recall. Oh not that Rosie! Sorry. Carry on.

No run for me today. I am easing back in. Plus, I would have had to get up at 4am to get in a run and then to work on time, so not really an issue today. That and it has been raining all day. All week in fact and set to continue through next Monday.  At least watering my lawn has been fairly inexpensive so far.

Twocat, sorry to hear about all that rain. It is 85F here today.

Denise, I ran a few miles thinking and praying for you!

Tselbs, it looks like you are having a good running weather where you are at. Great job with the 5 miler.

Tetsujin, way to go with your 5 cycle miles. I should seriously consider biking to work.

10 miles for me today. 4 in the AM and 6 in the PM. Good weather for a run, even when it was stormy most of the afternoon.

                  Cheers,

Deez, get better! Sheesh... enough already! Seriously, I hope this is a minor setback.

Love that pic of Marj and Henry, absolutely perfect.

We had such a nice warm April, and now May has cooled off a bit. After a weekend and early weekdays of overcast skies and wind with sprinkles, today was finally sunnier but still on the cool side (ok, we're spoiled, it still got to upper 50's). The warm dry spring led to record birch pollen levels, which sometimes make it feel hard to breath even with the allergy meds. Still, I got out after work today for a good strong steady run home. 10.1 hilly miles, 8:16 avg pace and only 4 minutes, 40 sec of "stop time" to do everything from wait for cars to catch my breath briefly at the top of a hill. Oh, and try to get bugs out of my eyes. Ahhh, spring time and the little flies are back. Bleh.
