I'm starting to see a pattern:

• No PR's
• My worst half marathon in many years (but I got to meet Denise!)
• Too many days off due to weather and storm debris closing roads
• But Feb was better than January, so I'm really not complaining at all!

Without ice cream there would be darkness and chaos.
Trails are hard!

Jay,
this may be a silly question, but are all your miles walking, or do you break down and run a little?
Need a fast half for late fall. Then I need to actually train for it.
Thanks again!
Struggled with a LOT of snow and ice this month, but still managed a few miles more than January.

Jay, this may be a silly question, but are all your miles walking, or do you break down and run a little?
Good question, Kevin, and not silly at all. There are some racewalkers who say they mix running into their walking workouts on a semi-regular basis. But for me, it feels like it disrupts my sense of rhythm when I mix the two together. That being said, there is a great training exercise that has someone run at a fast pace and then change over to racewalking without stopping and without slowing their turnover rate. It is difficult to do, but is worth the effort.
To answer your question, however, probably 99% of my miles are racewalking miles.
Thanks Carolyn. What a beautiful picture. I'm so happy you can run again!
Nice job everybody!
Perch,
77.2 miles for February. meh.

74.7, not complaining as that was more than January. Slowly coming back.
Love the photo. We had NO SNOW this winter, sadly enough.
