Busy July!  Not sure when i'll be in the area, but I'll have to take a look at these.  the Bean 10k usually fills up early, right?

Need a fast half for late fall.  Then I need to actually train for it.

LL Bean 10K almost always has race day reg available -- I think the cap is 1600 or something like that.

Close to Coast has a 5K in addition to the 10K if you're coming 'upta camp' this weekend. (Gritty's and Bucks bbq after by the ocean in Winslow park)

The Peaks Island 5 is the honey of 'em all -- if you're upta camp that weekend, it's worth it for the runner's ferry + beer garden + picnic/lobster bake for the family.

Acceptable at a dance, invaluable in a shipwreck.

That sounds tempting.  Might even be able to persuade DW to go along to that one.  And she loves both Peaks AND lobsta.  Thanks for the update.

              Dear Lenie -
              .

How was your miler compared to previous years?

              ..
With 4,400' of climbing (and equivalent descending), it might be a little excessive for the downhill Jack-and-Jill Marathon you’re doing next month from the two-mile long Snoqualmie Tunnel down to the valley floor 24 miles later but I just found out that tomorrow’s Taylor Mountain Marathon has an extended nine hour cut-off and allows trekking poles so I’ll DOR tomorrow,.
              ..
6/25  tetsujin - Mt. Taylor Evergreen Trails Marathon (Issaquah, WA) - thongs

slower!  I blame the heat!  (100 degrees at the start line)

Thanks for helping keep us motivated.

Please add me to the Fourth-of-July runners now that I know I'm not traveling.

Maybe two more for next week too, . . . if I'm here.

Have fun in your 4th of July Race.

                    Is it 5K too?
Mine features random drawing prize pies, . . . that I definitely do not need.

                      Hi Ilene,

Racing (and running) less these days:

09/17 Fortunate One - Flagstaff Trail Half Marathon, Flagstaff, AZ

                      Keep on keeping on,

ilene - are you ready for the Jack-and-Jill Tunnel Marathon at the end of the month?

Wanna go to lunch with someone in Seattle if you get up here

before he goes up to the Great Land on Thursday (7/28)?

7/24 tetsujin - Seattle Seafair Sprint Triathlon (all three legs barefoot).

                        .

Unfortunately, it's a one-half mile swim and I haven't swum more than the quarter-mile in the super-sprint triathlons I've been doing since retiring from ridiculously expensive Ironmans in 2005 (last swim was in the August 2015 Lake Meridian Super-Sprint Triathlon).  However, I've always figured I could survive being lost overboard in the middle of a temperate ocean.  Guess I'll find out a little one-way-or-the-other with this stupidity.
