Wildchild- this is not a place where you can run on the beach. The beaches are not long- it's a volcanic island. And, yes, it was such a horrible long travel day that there would be no running once we got here. We had to get up a little after 3 anyway, so it wasn't that big of a stretch. Running here is very challenging. I have some things I do, but the driving is on the left, the roads are steep and dangerous and, of course, the heat and humidity. We love it here, but it is NOT running mecca! We had good drinks and dinner, though!

The kids checked in and let us know they were ok. Our place wss 10 miles or so south of the damage. It was strange watching the national news and seeing places we've been to multiple times smashed up. Cars upside down in Culver's parking lot. Etc.
8.5 miles at the secret location. It was nice to run out there again, it's been a while. All 5 Osprey nests are occupied.

I had to go Google tornadoes in MI, since I assumed that's what happened. Dang!
I had a nice leisurely bike ride home after an incredibly hectic work day. Some days I wonder what it would be like to be able to leave your job and leave it behind for the day or the weekend and not feel like you're being sucked under the quicksand.
Then I got in a solid 45 min of core/ST.
There's a kite festival here this weekend. If the wind is as bad as it's been the last 2 days, it should make things pretty interesting.
