No time to tabulate this week -- I'll run only 20 miles or so due to taper, so will respectfully request a free pass. Yes Thanks again for taking the time to do this Holly. I know that it isn't trivial to pull this together and really appreciate your effort! 21 point something for the week. Told you Smile

I got 38.9 last week Sad My legs felt tired. Last nights run felt great though, so maybe a break was good. Good luck to all you Boston runners. I'll be there cheering my girlfriend on. I'm a long way from being fast enough to actually run it.

Holly, I not getting much mileage in this week. I will run a marathon on Saturday. I will try running more next week and be close to 40 miles anyway. The miles will come slowly with each week as I get things together again. This has been a very tough year for me so far. My goal was to have a better year running than last year, which I still may have. Andrew Jackson Marathon Jackson, TN 26.2 miles Sunday 5.0 miles Total 31.2 miles Well, I reached a milestone of sorts for me. I ran my 280th marathons on Saturday passing a former runner that has passed on several years ago. Next such runner is at 299. I have always felt sorry for him to not get number 300, he is a friend of mine and is still alive, but has not run marathons for the pass 4 years. He broke his ankle and stopped running marathons in January, 2005. I hope to run Nashville, TN, next Saturday. TomD
Thanks Holly, this is the first chance I've had all week to post as I've been out of town training this week. I will need a pass this week since I'm tapering and ended up having to miss a scheduled run on Monday. Monday - Unplanned Rest day...probably not a bad thing anyway at this point. Hi Holly. Just visiting. Nice to see all the Boston folks--I'll be there next year. I have signed up for a 50 M trail run in June, so I'm here partly to stoke your ultra fire. I love the in-the-moment feeling of trail running. You are often deciding in a split second where to place your feet to avoid roots and rocks. Balance is important as you weave and navigate the best route. And then there are those times when you realize you're going a bit too fast, a bit out of control, and it's still working. Yeah, I think I'm hooked.
