    For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard... Here’s what I have for last week’s tally. Let me know if I missed you or erred.

                    Thanks Holly and congrats on that BQ again. I'm with Beer and tapering, but I'll be just over 40 for the week. Monday - REST - Good thing too with this driving rain and wind....otherwise it would have been a treadmill day!                         Thanks, Holly, and congrats again on your BQ. I'm really encouraged by my 10 mile race this past Saturday. I put a hard effort in, posted a good time, but I'm really not sore. Just tired legs is all. So while I'll get the miles in this week, most of them will be easy.

                            Again Holly...WTG on your BQ run Smile Think I need a cutback week as my legs are a little overly sore, and as I am getting closer to some longer runs. Mon - 7.3 easy miles - 1:07:25 - 9:15 ave pace - sucky run! Tues - 7.3 easy miles - 1:07:34 - 9:16 ave pace - another sucky run, time to cut back and recover Weds - Rest day running, but did swim laps and pool run Thurs - 8 miles - 1:05:58 - 8:15 ave pace (BQMP) 4 miles at MP...7:58, 7:55, 8:01, 7:54 - Super Run Smile Fri - Rest Day Sat - 20 easy miles - 3:05:26 - 9:16 ave pace Smile. First 20 miler since last Fall and felt GREAT, and wasn't very hard at all. Plan was for 16 miles, but felt too good to stop. Sun - 7.5 easy miles - 1:10:25 - 9:24 ave pace Total - 50.1 miles

                              Running out of mistakes!

                                Thanks Holly! More tapering this week, but only in distance. M - rest T - intervals killer 2x 800/600/600 2:40/1:58/1:58 W - un intended rest - no time to run T - 7mi - turned out to be 14mi as I got lost in Dallas F - 2mi ez no running, cept between gates at airport S - 7mi at pace got lost again?!? 10+ miles at fast pace S - 10mi ez
                                -2009 running goals - sub-3 after Boston (probably VCM), 3 PRs, 2009 miles for the year, and no untreated injuries
