Thanks Holly,
Will need that Free Pass for sure this week.
Ran 3 miles on treadmill yesterdaqy and felt like the last 3 of the marathon Then last night like clock work 48 hrs after Sunday flights started to come down with a cold ... probaly why run was so bad. Which BTW took all day to get home from Huntsville due to 2 cancelled flights and major delays at huntsville and Atlanta.
Main driving factor next 2 weeks will to eek out 50.6 miles (but who is counting) to reach 1500 miles for the year. Heading to siesta Key Fla (sarasota area) Sunday and will be there through 1/3/10 so won't be posting much. May run a 5 miler (dec 28th) ; Manatee River run in bradenton?? Hate to squander a Dec racing opportunity and last year was my first race after torn cartlidge...would not be anywhere a PR (37:09) but pretty sure I could coast in well below the 46+ min time last year.
"It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it Great!

That's just a number. Think big picture, my friend.
I know ... not going to sweat it if come up short. Going to really rest this week and see how running on the beach in fla feels ... or sitting in a chair drinking Corona ..... hmmmmm??

Buckeye -
The Manatee River Run is slated for the 27th. I live in Bradenton and will be in town that weekend. Let me know if you'd like to hook up while you're down this way. Emerson Point is a real nice place to run.

Please be careful, or at least do it only as a fun run. If you are able to do that.
That's a sure thing if he runs it with me. Fun = yes. Fast = no.
Thanks for advice guys, most likely not going to run the race and if I did it would be for a "fun run" @ MP (That is MP before desater stikes) ... ran first 5 of huntsville in 42:30.
Runhikebird,
Are you already signed up for the race, it is a nice place to run (ran there last year but the 80+ degree morning did me in ... even the locals were complaining it was too hot) I may see how things go next week. Finally starting to feel a little bit better health wise today but will wait until Sat/Sun to get next run in. Good Luck if I don't make it up there.
Man its been a long time since I have only run 1 out of the last 6 days.
