Doug's Memorial 11 Mile Run (Read 270 times)

It started all a nice afternoon, but after about an hour it turned very cloudy and cold.  Of the 20+ starters only three of us finished the run.  I was the third one to finish.  Fortunant One finished ahead of me.  I ran at a 10:55 pace and I felt great.  My endurance seems to be doing well, but my breathing still needs help, so I can pick up my speed.

I hope to push myself some this week and run a 15-Miler next weekend.

Tom, good job hanging in there to make the final three.

Tom, you've made an amazing comeback!  Congrats for finishing 3rd, even if it was out of 3 - you still beat the other DNF's.   And you beat the odds to get back to good enough health to run again.

I hammered down the trail, passing rocks and trees like they were standing still.

Tom, I'm happy to see you back on the roads and coming back so well.

Tom, thanks for coming over.  It was great to run with friends for as long (or short) as we wanted.  Just the way Doug would have liked it!  Best wishes on your comeback.
