Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
It's Race Week
Still have cold lingering ... So goal is get over the cold while logging miles. Marathon plan should be 50 -55 this week, but with cold and upcoming Half not going to push it too far and get sicker.
Hopefully get 1 really good week in next week including another 18 - 19 miler prior to my 2 week taper for columbus 10/18.
Legs actually feel pretty good after 19 mile LR yesterday (It was slow but got through it), after legs were like 85% "Marathon soreness" after last Sundays Half + 10 mile stunt.
"It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it Great!
Thanks Holly, and congratulations on your half marathon run this past weekend. You did quite well considering the way you had to get to the start. You are primed for your upcoming marathon.

Very nice race last weekend Holly. And it looks like this week has been a Great week for you too (over 60 miles.) You're ready for Columbus!
BuckeyeChump (Sorry, couldn't resist. I'm a Gators Fan), it looks like you, me, and Holly are all gunning for 3:45!
I have this week and next of hard work before my 2-week taper starts.

Thanks Holly. I'm still in recovery mode but think I can make it to 40 miles this week. All easy running.
Good week. I'm starting to feel the jump in my step again.
Not at it at all.
Hopefully we can see it other at the start. I will let the Chump part slide.
Good Luck to both of you as looks like BQ standards for you ... me I hope just to get in the neighborhood so 3:20 is some what reasonable in 2010. But 3:20 is pretty darn fast @ like 7:38 min miles, but would hate to hangout another 4 years when I get another 10 minutes.
MTA ---
I remember you saying you were going to were the gator shirt and if I were a Buckeye shirt ... We could cross the finish together and cause a riot in C-BUS!
Thanks Holly.
