Thank you! And yes, the snow is melting from our bike path as well, and I hope to do my LR on a clear (and maybe even dry) path this weekend.

Here’s my tentative plan for the week. DH really hates attending the Saturday night church service, so I'm switching my 20-miler to Saturday, so we can go to the Sunday morning service.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Another week down and closer to the goal race. Now I just need to figure out which race that will be. It was going to be Boston, but those plans had to change.
Thanks Holly for keeping this going -- it helps my motivation...

Volunteered at a race. Ran to my spot on the course. Was supposed to do a 10 mile hill workout later in the day, but lost my motivation.

Unplanned step back week. Hamstring issue really put a crimp in things. In the long run, probably a good decision…

Thanks Holly. Happy Birthday!
Here's my plan for the week, cutting back a bit. DW has most of the week off and, after all, there ARE more than a few things in life better than running on the TM! We got another foot of snow in the mountains overnight, still waiting for Spring thaw to start here in Santa Fe.

Happy Birthday Holly, looks like I'm late to another party.
Right hip is better, right ITB is still somewhat tight, but, not complaining. So we shall see what this week will bring us. Nothing faster than aerobic pace this week until Saturday, then a few strides at tempo.
Mon: 5 miles - 6.0 miles recovery pace, started very slow and increased pace. No problems with my right leg. doing alternating ice and heat tonight.
Tues: 10 miles - 11.0 miles steady run, fairly easy pace, nothing faster than 8:00 pace/ mile. so far no tenderness in my right leg. though continueing to ice and heat after runs and in the morning.
Wed: 10 miles - 11.0 miles steady pace, little faster than yesterdays run. Hip and ITB are behaving and feel good. however, i'm coming done with a chest cold. Runrwife was nice to give to me, just hope I don't get the broncitis that she's got now..
Thurs: 15 miles - 6.0 miles recovery pace, body is just very tired due to this on coming cold so changed workout.
Fri: 6 miles - 8.0 miles aerobic paced, cold hasn't gotten any worse. didn't want to push the distance today.
Sat: 18 miles - 12.0 miles aerobic paced, lots of coughing, cold seems to be getting worse now, though legs are feeling good. cutting mileage
Sun: 8 miles including a 6K Race - 10.0 miles, very slow and easy, some walking. no race, fast pace causes more coughing. I think its time for a few more days off. So far, March hasn't been good to me.
Total: 64 miles

Here is my plan for the week
M - 9.7 miles [including 10 x 1 minute hills with 2 min downhill recovery]
T - 5.6 miles with 8 x 20 sec strides
W - 13 miles [3 mile w/u; 9 miles MP -- let's call it more like an unintentional tempo @ 20-25 secs faster than MP -- HR data looks good which is encouraging; 1 mile c/d]
Th - rest
Fri - 13.5 [had to adjust - flew to cali last minute and couldn't fit 22 in before a meeting -- sucks.]
Sat - 4 miles [treadmill due to weather -- sucks]
Sun - 6 [with 8 x 20 sec strides]
Total = 51.5 miles total
2012= under-goaled
Thank you Holly. Welcome Kimmie!
