How to get trail guides/maps (Read 26 times)

Trail Monster

I'm trying to put together a binder of trail guides/maps for all of the local trails and parks so I can expand my running as the weather clears. So far I'm not having much luck getting my hands on detailed maps or descriptions of the trails. Every time I try to access the dcnr.state.pa.us site I get errors or it doesn't load or the maps links don't work. I'm getting pretty frustrated. Any ideas or anyone else have working links or PDF's of the parks/trails below:

    Moraine State Park

    McConnells Mill

    Racoon Creek Park

    Mingo Park

    LHHT

    Mill Creek Park

    Rachel Carson Trail

    Ohiopyle

    Thanks!

Maybe your browser isn't supporting the DCNR website. Try another brower (maybe chrome or something).

Also I have been pleasantly surprised by wikipedia and their info on trails.  They will sometimes have a PDF file towards the bottom with a map of parks/trails.  Try looking them up on there and see what you get.

      Good luck!

I have some maps on my website....I think you should be able to acces them.  They are all lifted from the DCNR websites.....but like you...I found DCNR websites not to be uber-reliable....so I have just been putting copies of there stuff on my own site.

I recently found this website.  I have barely had time to look through it but so far looks like a good resource.

For NJ, I go to www.mtbnj.com.  The discussions are bike -related, but they have trail maps, and condition reports.  Is there a similar site for PA?
