Pedals to farms (Read 8 times)

Did anyone see the ad for the pedals to farms in the gvl news? It Starts in dacusville and you stop at four local farms to sample/buy produce and they ship it back to the finish line for you. Then at the end is a farm to table meal . I think it's a pretty cool idea.  June 14, but I did not get the link.  The downside is it is like a 60 mile ride haha

This sounds like so much fun!

        can someone locate the info?

$69 is a little steep IMHO. Especially once Active starts tacking on their fees at the end. I  also am not sure I like the idea of stopping to visit farms. Once I get on the bike, I really don't want to stop. I usually pass the aid stations if I have plenty of water and fuel. I wonder if this is the first year they are doing this. I have never heard about this ride. Woops http://cycletofarm.org/  I just went to their website. Greenville is new to their program

I think this one sounds fun.  $30 for a 30 or 60 mile ride plus beer, bbq, bluegrass, and a t-shirt.

If y'all decide to do either one let me know I'm in for either but a t shirt sounds good ( I don't know if I can eat and ride w/gi issues lol much less drink and ride bc I can only handle one !)

Funny, I thought you were talking about the first ride I had to go back and check The second one sound much better to me and certainly more reasonable... Timing looks good as it is one week before Caine/Halter and the same weekend as the 2nd annual, free, YRT Memorial Day bike ride.

I'll be in Aiken that weekend- but y'all had been riding on memorial day (Monday) right?

Last year we rode on Monday. This will be the 2nd year if there is interest in doing it again. We had a nice ride last year with about 30 riders. Several of the riders had never done a group ride before, and a few were real cyclist. Mixed group
