I'll get things going today, even though I have not yet run. I'll get out for a short jaunt between rain showers today. Or maybe the gym. We'll see.
qotd: Weekend plans? I figure we can at least get some interesting news from the CO folks. For me, not much. DS has a XC invitational tomorrow and since all their meets have been cancelled thus far, this will be our first chance this season to see him run. So probably that. My trail race was cancelled so no big running plans (other than to run).
The Trailers are up in Colorado doing the loop today. Looks like a great trail, wish we all could be there.
Here's a link.

Oh yeah, I plan to do 5 after work today. Big news, I bought some new running shorts, half tights actually (there will be no photos).
qotd: I've got my last 20 miler planned for tomorrow morning, then I'll do some chores around the house. By Sunday I'm sure that the early stages of taper madness will start taking hold.
2/17/24 - Forgotten Florida 100 Mile, Christmas, FL
SRD. I started not to take it, but I had no legitimate reason not to take it. I still woke up at the same time and read. I just don't know which race I want to in winter/early spring. I can't remember the date we are having Christmas at my parents, but I think it coincides with a 20 mile race I would like to do. In January, there is a 27 mile run about 3 hours from here. In February, there is a 50K about 2 hours from here, and in mid-March there is a 20K, 50K, or 50M event about 2.5 hours from here. I guess I could do some distance at each event, but I don't really want to do that. One thing is certain: I will only run one loop or a point to point in any of the events. Everything fits the bill except the mid-March 50K or 50M. We'll see.
QOTD: No big plans. We have to get my daughter some shoes for homecoming... And I have to get some groceries. I'll run 7.5 to 10 either tomorrow or Sunday, 5 on the other weekend day.

I've been in KC all week doing a Risk Assessment for the Casino. Fun will be driving home today...then flying out to CO on Mon for a conference. Got all of 3 miles in so if I don't pick up some this weekend it'll be a sad pitiful training week this week and next as I'm not sure how the altitude will affect me.
I've a meeting to go over my findings in just a little bit so I'll just pop in and say Hi!
Sue
Ran little over 5 this morning. ell once...wtf...than saw a guy in the parking lot who I know...we talked and I got in my car...he yelled something to as I was getting out to say what I slammed my knee on the side of the car..it hurt but think it was mostly funny bone. XT is right...I should wrap myself in bubble wrap and take it easy rest of week.
QOTD: It's Hubby's birthday today but he is at a swap meet until Saturday morning. Friday night I plan to put together drop bags, pull out camp gear, and put the top back on the jeep. Saturday a friend has a training group and I volunteer to sweep in a run/walker so that will be about 10 miles...than yard work. Sunday we are going Quad riding.

runtrail - Good luck to DS in his race! Sorry to hear yours got cancelled.
Sandy - Looking forward to Bear.
LB2 - Hope you find a race that you can get excited about. If I'm "meh" about a race, then I feel I shouldn't have signed up for it.
dhuffman - Altitude is tricky (for me). At least you'll find out how it affects your running. Hope you can at find some time to enjoy CO as well.
Sue - Yes, bubble wrap. Especially when you break out the chain saw while doing yard work this weekend. Be careful! Oh yeah, you caught me with my pants down yesterday.
My mileage has been pretty dismal as of late, mostly due to the weather feeding a lack of motivation. TURD yesterday, since I had to work late. DW is out of town this weekend, so I plan to do 20 this evening. Yard work on Sat. Then another 20 on Sunday. At least, that's the plan for now. Guess that was the QOTD as well. Oh yeah, looking forward to more Rondy reports.
3/17 - NYC Half
4/28 - Big Sur Marathon DNS
6/29 - Forbidden Forest 30 Hour
8/29 - A Race for the Ages - will be given 47 hours

Those run plans do not support your lack of motivations!
Any excuse to party...you are a upper!
