The running one, not the Bruce Springsteen one.
Tim
It was a good read. I liked it more for the historical information rather than feeling the need to run with sandals or barefoot.
“Paralysis-to-50k” training plan is underway!
Refurbished Hip
Yes, the story is fantastic. Skip all the barefoot running junk.
Running is dumb.
Le professeur de trail
Yes, good read. No comment on the barefoot stuff.
My favorite day of the week is RUNday
What about Ultramarathon Man?
Thread killer ..
It's well written . It didn't make me want to run barefoot .
He's a little self-serving, but it was a good read. For people who do ultra's it can be bothersome because it sounded lie he was the only person running long distances.
Read "Run Gently Out There" instead (if you haven't)
Loin cloth is optional!
In dog beers, I've only had one.
I think "Born to Run" is a pretty good book to read. I don't know about the other one. Another good one to read is "Eat and Run" by Scott Jurek. I put that book off for the longest time, but I finally decided to read it. It was a lot more than I thought it was going to be.

Exact same take here on Eat and Run. And I thought North was even better.
I picked up Born to Run from the library today and think I'll give it a shot. Also picked up the Unbreakable DVD.
Sue
I thoroughly enjoyed Unbreakable.

Yes because if you hang out with any barefooters or minimalist runners they will want to tell you how it changed their life. You need some familiarity to be able to navigate the conversation.

You got that at the library?
You got that at the library? Sent the other one directed at Sue. She probably snuck into Tony's house and stole a copy.
