Since DC's thread was not meant to be a daily, here it is.
12 miles on some beautiful trails today. One section of logging road to get me headed back in the right direction. I put pictures up in a trail porn thread.
QOTD: Do you take many pictures when you run? John M has some great shots on his FB page and they reminded me to have my phone ready today for some pictures. Every once in a while I need to be reminded to stop and smell the roses.
“Paralysis-to-50k” training plan is underway!

I ran 5.33 this am with the mutts who behaved nicely. Could have been the after work run with them yesterday and not enough time to recover. Ran with a friend last night and it got very, very dark on us making the last miles very, very slow so we didn't sprain an ankle.
QOTD: On my long runs I have a pack so I will bring the camera but otherwise I have two dog leashes in my hand and can't carry anything else. Thinking of buy some light weight thingy ma jig to carry a camera. I asked Burke about his flip belt but he never responded.
By the way AT your porn this morning was breath taking!!!

5 on the home trails today... feeling a little less creaky today. A little.
qotd: I often have my phone tucked away in a spibelt, but don't usually snap pics. After your thread today, AT, I did go around and take a few of the trails here. I'll have to get em posted a little later

I don't have much to say....
but I wanted to say I agree that the fall pics AT are great. The red leaves reminded me of a hike we did last Saturday at Flat Rock Trail @ Colonel Denning. There was a section that had trees like that off to the side of the trail a good distance. Coming down the mountain in the afternoon, the sun came through those red leaves and caused the most amazing reddish/pinkish light onto the trail. I have never seen anything like it before. Of course I did not have a camera with me .
My favorite day of the week is RUNday
I overslept this morning. I'll get 5 or 10 tonight... We'll see. My 100 mile week may be out the window with my snoozing this morning. But, it isn't really necessary to get that many miles. I just saw an opportunity with the way my week was working out.
QOTD: No, not really.

11 or so miles over the hills. I ran up all the hills, and it felt easy. Must have been the wonderful foliage colors distracting me. Funny enough, even my shoes were matching the colors.
Unfortunately, I had so much fun that I forgot all about a later appointment for volunteering for the upcoming Tussey Mountainback, and ended up (at least freshly showered, but hungry and thirsty like a lion in the desert) a few minutes late at the running club's storage unit to pack the aid station bins with all the supplies. Life, or fate, punished me immediately when I opened up "my" first bin - let's just record that when we cleaned the bins a few weeks ago, we must have missed one, and now I know what PB&J sandwiches look like after having been stored in a non-climate-controlled storage unit for a whole year.
I did penance for having had too much fun arriving late and cleaned out the bin (read: threw out almost all of the contents, as they were covered in inch-thick mold and slime and smelled accordingly). I'm sure this will give me a few Karma points which I will use up at some future race.
QOTD: Very rarely, but today I did. Unfortunately I encountered difficulties uploading the pictures, so I'll post them later.
Run for fun.

got my 6.6 mile hill repeat session in this evening with a buddy who I did the Bob Marshall Open with, nice to have a partner to suffer with!
qotd: always have a camera with on my long runs; easier now as my "camera" is my iphone which is also my gps

Up in Seoul today at a big fancy hotel. It's located next to a little Mountain so I ended up doing 9 mi on the trails this morning. There is an ancient fortress from the BC37~AD668 period (yes you read that correctly) up there so I guess you could say that I did some sightseeing as well. Really nice seeing the sunrise reflecting on the Han River below. I should have brought my camera!!!! The leaves haven't started turning yet so..... It was a great little run though.
qotd: see above, I typically don't bring my phone with me.
