it's the Springdaily, well at least in name (Read 20 times)

No Spring here yet; it's moderated significantly with temps in the 30's and 40's, 20's at night.  Actually near perfect- with a lot of snow, the last thing we need is a lot of warm weather.  Better to have the snow go off slowly and orderly.

Got in a nice 4.5 miles with Tiny E yesterday evening; DW is joining us this evening for 3-4 miles- should be pretty nice, calling for mid 40's and sun

qotd: has Spring sprung in your area?  where does Spring rate in your favorite season list?  I put Spring ahead of winter and summer, but falls a little short of my favorite Fall.

Just when I thought the last three storms would be the last one of the year, another one comes along.  12-16 inches tomorrow...

      Will try for 9 tonight.

QOTD:  I'd have to go with Summer, Fall, Spring, Winter.  Since we get all 4 seasons here, it's really hard to not like any of them.  Having all of them is nice.

Took the Lady over to French Creek Park last night and we ran 7 on what used to be my 8 mile evening loop. Slowness and being decrepit made me shorten the loop a little bit... and still I run a slower time than in the past. I think I should ditch my watch but then again it helps remind me that I need to wrap things up, take shortcuts and get home for supper. Stunningly quiet out there last night in several places. Most notably by Scott's Run Lake and up on the top of campground hill. So quiet I could hear it. Still some snow up at the higher spots but not on the trails. Looks like there will be more accumulation this week.

Today, I think evening should be ok weather for a short run. The heavy stuff is not forecast until tomorrow.

QOTD: In order of favorites, spring, summer, fall, winter. Still winter here however despite what the calendar says.

In dog beers, I've only had one.

It was cold rain this morning so I opted to wait until it got colder and snowing. I'll get in a short run later this afternoon. But maybe at the gym.

qotd: The gardener in me loves spring best, but the runner says fall. Winter's not too bad, either, unless it is too long or too windy.

          Gator eye

I got in some intervals on the TM, it was cold cold with wind

QOTD: What choice do I have I live in Michigan. It seems we only have two seasons, winter and almost winter. But it should be warming up soon, it'll be the greatest two weeks of the year.

            moonlightrunner

I am going to try and get a few miles in after work. Yesterday I did not have enough warm clothes and cut it short. I lost my favourite running jacket, and find it difficult to be comfortable without it in this weather. It was perfect! And I have no clue where I left it.

Warden: Tiny E certainly is a great run buddy. My guess is his enthusiasm never wanes.

Xt: that silence can be stunning at night...makes the run even more spectacular.

Qotd: I love all the seasons...usually the current season when it begins. It is hard to pick a favorite. But, if I could have only one season, the order preference would be summer, winter, fall and spring. Hard to pick between the top two. I like them because of their extremes I guess.

I decided to take the day off...although I should have run as last day of dry before 10 days of rain.

Need to get back to my gym routine.

Got my ass outta bed and did 5 this morning.  Absolutely perfect weather 54 deg 54% humidity at 5am today.  That's very low humidity for around here.  I'm meeting my DW at the gym after work, gonna do a little stair climbing.

qotd: Took this the other day, the parking lot at work.  My order down here in Texas; fall, winter, spring than the other 3/4 of the year.

A quick gym trip for lower body today. Maybe some treadmill running or biking this evening.

Hopefully the snow will clear before this weekend and I can get out on the trails.

I need new shoes. My Hoka Challenger 2 have gaping holes on both forefoot sides of both shoes and the soles are peeling off. Less than 300 miles on them.

Sorta had myself talked into Salomon Sense Pro Max in spite of terrible reviews, but I'm not sure. Leaning toward getting Hoka Napali or Speedgoat 2 ($30 more).  The Challenger 2 isn't quite enough shoe for my 260 lbs on road sections or hard surfaces, but it's okay on most trails so maybe the other Hokas would work.

                    QOTD Season preference:

                    1. Summer

                    2. Fall

                    3. Spring

                    ...

                    257. Winter

Summers in Pennsylvania are glorious. It never gets hot, it stays green, and you can run in the middle of the day every day. My wife has always been more of a spring and fall person but she just gushes about how great the summers are here. That's the main reason she likes it here.

I really like the original speed goats.

I'm getting close to 500 miles on them.

Plan on getting a pair of the two's, hopefully they didn't cheapin up the soles.

I also had a hard time getting 300 out of the challengers

Dam you're a big boy!!    300 miles on a $140 dollar shoe is ridiculous!! But the good news is they are .00000000000000000000001% lighter so you can go faster.

Ok real point of responding...I run in the Challengers and I also bought the Solomon Sense  Ride.  I like them a lot, better than Hokas because they have a roomy toe.  I did my 25 mile run with them and by bad foot felt great.  So I am staying with them until they improve them .  FYI--The New Challengers have a totally new look on top.

I paid $58 for them at runnerswarehouse, so it's not that bad. My Bondi have 500 miles on them and barely look worn.

I don't think I have narrow feet, but I usually want the forefoot to be tighter not roomier.

SRD here from the running thing but a good session on the elliptical and weights in the man cave.  I don't think our weather can be called spring like today but this past weekend I have been told was outstanding. We'll have high winds for the next 2-3 days so hopefully that will dry the trails a little.

QOTD--The only season that matters is fall.   The rest, well...  winters here while nice are way too long, summer is too hot, and a good spring season is only about two weeks when the mud season is over and the black flies and mosquitoes haven't started up. I live for fall.

Mandy and Moonlight--you guys both mentioned a desire for the adventure or epic runs as opposed to entering events. Warden and I and anyone else can join us for a run in the Indian Peaks wilderness in Colorado around Sep 15th. It will be an epic run on steroids.

Walked on TM for 75 minutes. Found a new (to me) show on Netfllix to stream, The Frankenstein Chronicles. Looks pretty good so far. British mystery set in 1820's.

Talked to Lyme specialist this morning, and she said walking was fine, but no running for now. She's treated a lot of athletes with Lyme including Ironmen and a few ultrarunners.

QOTD:  Beautiful first day of Spring here, almost 10" of snow on the ground and more coming down. Supposed to snow off and on until tomorrow night. Work will be fun tomorrow .   I like changing weather and enjoy all the seasons, but Fall is my favorite, then Spring.

                              “Paralysis-to-50k” training plan is underway!
