Hope Mike got out of the Bob Marshall wilderness without any problems. Looks like he had a lot of snow to deal with.

Going to take a SRD today.  I'll run again tomorrow.  Fell 99% back to normal.

QOTD:  May Mileage time?  294, and no, I'm not going out to get 6 more.

    “Paralysis-to-50k” training plan is underway!

Working a 9 am to 9 pm shift. thought about getting up and running early but barely got out of bed in time to get to work.  Then on the drive in some moron left a ladder lay on a construction trailer without strapping it down and it fell off . I missed it by about 2 tenths of a inch .

I think it took Mike several days to start posting the last time he did the Bob.

QOTD: 111.8. A lot less than I wanted.

7.5 miles this morning in the sun and humidity with a running friend. We managed to stick to the forest covered paved trail most of the way.

qotd: 103, which I'm pretty happy with. I ran fewer days than usual, but more miles and also worked in more doubles.

Short, I mean real short run last night.

QOTD: mid 70's,  I just don't have anything to run for - no goal races this year and have to make a big push (as I have been the last 2 months) to get my dissertation done.  Just no time. If I hadn't made it my goal to run everyday this year (or at least see how long I can keep that up) I may not even be running.  But I am, even if most days are between 1-3 miles.

          Have a great day!

After yesterdays QOTD it actually rained here this morning. I had to get out of bed to put the windows in my jeep back in.  So I got rained on and I should have changed clothes and went running since I was already wet, but I climbed back in bed.  Plan is after work run and gym at lunch.  So on a side note I bought new shoes.  Wanted something with more of a heel thinking that is what is aggravating my tendonitis.  I walked out with a pair of Hokas.  I always said I would never wear those weird shoes, but they were so cushy and not as clunky as other Hoka models.

QOTD:  79.8 after tonight may reach 85.8

Yes I sure hope Mike is OK.

Congrats on your 48 hour, AT!  Looking forward to the race report.

Welcome to the dorky shoe club, Sue.  My Altras are ugly as shit, but they sure feel good.

QOTD: 22.5 miles running; 365 miles biking.

We had a nice time bike camping over Memorial Day weekend.  Only had a bit of rain Saturday night.  Didn't get in as much hiking as I wanted, but there will be plenty later this summer.

              Running is dumb.

              Endless trails

                Hi folks,

A little rainy here this morning too. I did a little joggy jog on the

trails that I cleared on Monday, just a few miles. Planning

another trail HM on Sunday morning so I'm just taking it easy

                this week

QOTD: looks like a got 96 for May. It might not look like much

but it's accomplishment considering I didn't run for several months

                over the winter.

Spent the long weekend around Madison and didn't really do a whole lot either which was nice. A dreadful long run over in the Kettle Moraine on Sat. One of those efforts where you know in the first mile it's not gonna be a good day but you keep forging on for whatever reason.  I'm too old for these character building runs and I'm not sure there is any training value when you're walking half the run and are just plain suffering. But after a day of rest I did some intervals that went well and then a great mtn. biking session back over in the Kettles.  Today was 6.5 over in Donald park.  Loading up now to head north for the next several days.

7 miles for the Lady and I last night on squishy trails at Green Lane Reservoir. Another cool grey misty day. Long misty days as Robin Trower once jammed. Hey, the sun is out today finally for the first time this week. Plan is 7 trail miles on the hills of Coventry Woods.

QOTD: 219 now, so 226 at end of day. A bit low for last month of training but I had 2 recovery/recharge weeks in there at the beginning of the month.

Harrier - I've had a few short runs like that this month. This past Sunday in particular. I was smart enough at least to leave the watch at home that day.

Jonferg - Almost to triple digits.. enjoy your half this weekend.

Mandy - I see the sign, but where is the hill?  Big grin

Runtrail - Good running this month!

DD - Not a morning runner, eh?

AT - Oh, man so close to 300.. you should have ran a few more laps this weekend!  Tongue

In dog beers, I've only had one.

I'm still here, just taking a break and very busy at work.  Plan to do 5 or 6 later.

                      qotd: 130 if I do 6 tonight.
