I ran an easy 5.25 this morning with my new headlamp. It was bright, the Black Diamond Cosmos. It was on sale for $19.88. Hard to beat that price.
QOTD: What are your plans for the weekend?
Running a long run in the AM and a short one before church on Sunday. And, I'll follow along at Big Horn.
LB2
Endless trails
I feel like a slacker, didn't run yesterday or this morning.
Nice score with the headlamp, LB.
QOTD: I purchased a battery leaf blower to clear the trails on
our property, I plan to use that this weekend. DW is heading
to New Orleans for an HR conference so I'm a bachelor for
a few days, maybe have a few ladies over tonight for drinks
and a game of twister, and pizza. Might get a run or two in
as well.
Morning all. Heading to the gym today for some strength work, maybe a short run in during swim practice.
I saw a pretty grim WY forecast calling for very cold, windy and stormy days and nights. I'm not in that running league, but if I were, Bighorn would be on my list.
qotd: tomorrow, full day of swimming as the little one is swimming on two teams this summer. It'll calm down in a week. Sunday is blissfully plan-free. Hopefully I'll get in a good long run.
Did 20 this morning. My meeting didn't start until 10 today, it was cool in the mid-50s this morning, tomorrow it's supposed to be warmer, I'm meeting friends to see a band play in a pub tonight..... all that adds up to me running long today instead of tomorrow. I think I'm going to sleep late tomorrow!!!!
The run run was nice, went to the west along the Thames. I usually stay on the south bank, but this time went out the north bank via Chelsea, it was ok, but there were some diversions and a few miscues, but still nice in spots. I did cross over about 2 miles before the turn around spot in Richmond because that is where the dirt path starts.
I may follow Bighorn, but I don't know anyone running it.
qotd: hanging around London tomorrow and most of Sunday. DD asked me to pick up something here that she needs for her through-ride of the Colorado Trail (she and some friends are riding it on horses next month). Then late Sunday I move to the next stop on this little business jaunt of mine, Beijing.
tbd.
4 miles this morning. Humid.
Qotd running and yardwork.
Rough road run this morning. Managed 7 but it was the looming bear attack that I was fighting off as the main issue. Out on the roads in an urban environment, well I think you understand. We will finally get some decent weather on Sunday but until then it is some difficult weather.
Bighorn was my first mountain ultra way back. Managed to finish a couple 50k's and had a rather woeful 50 miler. Nice stand alone mountain range.
QOTD--Not much going on for me this weekend. Some bike riding and an 8-10 miler on Sunday. Head back north Sunday evening and it looks like there will be some great weather for next week. I'll believe it when I see it though.
If I get out of work on time I might get in a 5 mile run. Knowing my recent luck though I'll probably get out a couple of hours late.
QOTD: Working. From this morning at 6 am until Monday night at 11 PM is a stretch of 89 hours. During that time I'll work at least 56 hours, plus about 7 hours of commuting time.
Sue
Met my old running partner for 7 this morning. She ran 7.5 and I ran 7 but we were together the whole time. This makes me feel like I have been cheating myself the whole time. So do I record my 7 or her 7.5. Her watch looked fancier.
QOTD: the outlook doesn't look to great. The old man is determined to get this deck finished. So I will do yard work and a longish run. Drink a few beers and maybe get to go out to eat. We have friends arriving in 10 days and staying for a week...that is one packed week of fun, fun, fun.

Nothing today. AT run tomorrow morning or might run some Blue Blazes and catch a few vistas near Pine Grove Furnace.
Jon - have fun with Twister. I was a bachelor last Friday, and celebrated by ordering a pizza and reading a book. Your fantasies sound better than my reality.
Queen - Is house on market yet? Still doing home improvement projects.
QOTD: Run and watch some of the Golf. Will follow some races.. Good luck XT.
“Paralysis-to-50k” training plan is underway!
running under the BigSky
Another perfect evening yesterday; mid 60's, just the lightest rain (closer to a mist)- ran the same 7.5 mile loop as the day before, just in reverse- thought it would be a little quicker this direction- watch said no
some bodyweight strength training this evening
qotd: plan on heading into some high lakes this weekend, might be a little early- we'll see

No run for me today, but did play a relaxing round of golf this morning. Sunny and warm here but not super humid. About the same for tommorow's race with chance of t-storms in the morning. Did run about 5 or 6 on the trails of Spangler/Wooster memorial park here in Ohio. Fun place... pine and hills of over a small creek valley.
Qotd: Plan is to run 100 miles. Not much else!
Thanks all for the well wishes!
In dog beers, I've only had one.
Slacker!
Good luck

Any Cross-Fitter can run 100 miles!
Who remembers that thread on RWOL? Those were some good ole days.
You forget eating and drinking beers!
