Trail running references in the movies (Read 63 times)

We all know that trail running movies are up and coming BUT have you ever watched a movie and noticed the references or scenes dedicated to trail/mountain running without the intention???

    Example:

The Sound of Music - The beginning of the movie has Julie Andrews in the mountains strolling around and singing. After hearing the Abbey bells, she makes a b-line down the mountain.  Yes Julie Andrews is a trail runner.  And at the end of the movie, the whole family becomes trail runners.

Think about it....and share an example.

My favorite day of the week is RUNday

    Occasional Runner

Almost all the Friday the 13th movies involve running in the woods.

I think you are confusing that with all the screaming from Jamie's actual race last year.

Harry Potter - they run a lot over the hills and through the woods. However, they also do a lot of indoor running and stairs training. Perhaps that's their cross-training?

              Run for fun.

Heidi 1937 - "Grandfather" lives in the mountains.  Must be a trail runner!

I second Heidi. Peter in the movie is also a trail runner - more of a fell runner, though, cross-country over the mountains. Just like Kilian (maybe Kilian took him as his role model?).
