Faster Than Your Couch!

    Are they "smooth", or "grainy"?

     

    Does the fat bother you when running?

    I can't really tolerate much fat at all when I run. Even the low amount in the Perpetuem bothers me, so that I get nauseous after a few bottles. Sustained Energy does not do this to me, so I stick with that one.

    But I am curious if the protein bars could help me in a long race when I get a "hungry" feeling? (does not happen often, but at times)

    Or later in the race, when I mostly walk?

     

    Experiences, anyone?

    Occasional Runner

      They're pretty smooth. I don't use them as fuel when I run very often, but sometimes, I crave them. I cut them into small, bite sized pieces and put them in a plastic bag so I can eat them one bite at a time over a long period. Scarfing down an entire bar doesn't appeal to me. They are pretty tasty though.
