Sandy, I always seem to learn something from your race reports. Keep 'em coming. Do loop courses for 50 milers generally not have pacers?
i think that the tejas trail races allow pacers on the 3rd loop only.

Rocky II: Thanks. I’m not sure about loop courses in general, it is more likely to be the policy of the RD.
T-rod: Yes for Hells Hills pacers are ok for the 3rd loop. I’d say that each run has its particular “rules” on pacers based on the preference of the RD.

Great job! I can't even imagine keeping that up for 50 miles! It sounds grueling, and like excellent training for Leadville.
