Dip netting for salmon on the Copper River? I'm not that crazy .  Is your son a licensed guide? The reason I'm asking is because I thought there were some pretty stringent rules for out of staters coming in to hunt. I could be wrong, but I thought that you had to either be with a family member or a licensed guide.

And no, he's not a licensed guide.  You're correct about the non-resident rule for big game hunting ... you'd need a licensed guide.  But you could go along "for the ride" ... I accompanied him on a short canoe journey down the Chena - he did the moose hunting while I did the scouting ... saw a couple but they were either too small or too far away.
