Temp was 40.4ºF, but the screen said "feels like 40.2ºF" -- We added a layer and went to the trails.  Our empty park, seldom see anyone.  Oops, dawg, large, running at me, "He's friendly," she yells from ... I sort of dive down Water Line.  She calls again.  A muffled woof or bow wow or arf -- I don't speak dawg; sorry.  Small birds and flickers are plentiful today.  Can I "run" up Cedar Hollow?  Yes, no, almost -- one switchback too many.  Get back to the car with three minutes to spare, one layer too many.
