Well, as I sit here I have two thoughts about attempting the Rio de Lago 100 on November 9th.
Since Leadville in August, I have not run much. On the other hand, I think I have good fitness and my Pyrenees tour was certainly an aerobic boost.
So, figuring in work/family responsibilities and a wedding in NY in a few weeks, I think I can get in 40-70 miles (plus some cycling) for the next three weeks (including this week) and then a 10-day to 2-week taper.
Crazy, or reasonable?
Go for it.
You've had enough time to recover from both big summer events, and you're in great shape.

You haven't run a 100 miler since Leadville?!?! Total slacker!
Agreed
Leadville was just about a month or six weeks ago, right? Even if it was 8 weeks, you should go ahead and do it.
