Tim

So much for losing weight this week. 5 boxes of cookies on my desk when i got tot work.    DW gave up chocolate for lent, so the 2 boxes of Thin Mints are all mine.

Short run at lunch in the unseasonably warm day. Should be mid 70°'s before I get out. Hope it feel better than yesterdays bad run.

QOTD:    "Kikkan Randall and Jessie Diggins have made history in their sport, winning an Olympic gold medal, the first medal ever at the Games for American women in cross country skiing."   (I'm going with Quote of the day since I have no Question.)  Saw an interview before the Olympics started and the Women's team were so funny together and you could tell they really acted like a team. Awesome! Very happy for them.

    “Paralysis-to-50k” training plan is underway!

    running under the BigSky

DW, Tiny E and I got in 3 miles yesterday evening- a balmy 3 degrees

it’s warming up, only -9 this morning

      plan on 3-ish this evening

even just 20 years ago we hadn’t made a dent in cross country, we’ve had several top ten finishes this year- definitely some really dedicated and hard working folks for the US, nice to see

qotd: favorite Girl Scout cookie?  a tie between the thin mints and Samoa’s

      I lost my rama

57 in yesterday evening's run.  Ran in shorts and a t-shirt.  My legs were white as a ghost, haha.  Will be in the 60's tonight.  Can't wait.

I hope I have the XC race recorded on DVR.  Always nice to see when we can crack into a sport dominated by others.

        QOTD:  Thin mints for me.

Morning trailers! Got in an easy 5 with a friend this morning. It was in the mid 60s by 9 am so it was warm. And I noticed my cherry shrub has strong buds, so there goes my cherry harvest, two years in a row because a freeze will happen. I do not like this weather-- it's too warm for February in these parts.

qotd. Oh, I ran into the girl scouts roaming the neighborhood with their wagon full of cookies this weekend. Perhaps needless to say, but I am now stocked on Samoa's and thin mints (Samoas are my favorite and I've hidden them from the rest of the household).

            Refurbished Hip

This post title is timely.  On Sunday DBF came home from a run just as the Girl Scout cookie wagon rolled past the front door.  He bought 23 boxes.

We're going to the climbing gym tonight with the kids.

QOTD: I miss the old lemon sandwich cookies.  The Lemonades just aren't as good.  I suppose my favorites now are a tie between Thin Mints and Tagalongs.

              Running is dumb.

6 on the treadmill. It's been raining for two days now, we have a nice start on some serious flooding

QOTD: yes. Any and all kinds by the box full.

Lightening this morning, so I'll run after work today.  We're having rain and intermittent lightening all day today. In the mid 50s.

We were watching the cross country skiing the other night and I commented that 'we have always sucked at this'. I guess we can't say that now, hopefully this was the icebreaker.

qotd: Thin mints. I got 2 boxes delivered to my office last week (coworker put out his DD's order sheet in the coffee room), sadly I ate them all already.

QOTD:  Thin Mints as well for me.  There are two sleeves per box, so a box of Thin Mints is only 2 servings, right? Asking for a friend.

Spent the morning sitting in a room 6 stories above the wonderful city of Harrisburg in a class to update a certification.  Watched a nice sized bald eagle soaring above the Susquehanna river. Then on the way home I saw another one not far from my house. They are really coming on strong around here over the past few years.

I was going to go for a 7 mile run, but DW had other plans for me.  Got home and she had already plugged in her battery and had it charging.  So I got the pump out, pumped things up and off we went for a ride.   22.2 miles on the bike.  Felt good.

Might do a short run on the TM tonight.

QOTD:  Actually I hate them all, but if you force me to bring some into the house the thin mints only last a few seconds. The lemon ones will stay around a little longer.  Takes a lot longer to burn off the calories then to eat them.

                      Faster Than Your Couch!

No run because of some ear pain. Made an appointment with the ENT specialist and will already see him in 4 weeks!!  Not sure how I’ll survive that long.

AT: I love your conclusion about your wife’s lent resolution and the cookies!

DD1: But at least the Susquehanna River is quite picturesque around Harrisburg. Always enjoy driving along that river.

QOTD: I have never had a Girl Scout cookie

(donations and samples will be accepted, though)

                        Run for fun.

Didn't get up to run ..planned gym at lunch and run after work.  DH called so I had to take him to the dealer on my lunch so no gym.  So run after work still...

QOTD:  They are expensive.  Peanut butter sandwich and thin mints.  In the old days when we had huge files for our cases I remember a co-worker pulled out a file and found her thin mint she had lost several months before.    I try to save my junk calories for alcohol.

AT:  It's in one box, two sleeves is one serving.
