Short story about Ann Trason (Read 33 times)

Uh oh... now what?

Something that needs to be read -- ultrarunning's history is so rich, but so poorly documented. Ann Trason is one of those wonderful people whose name would be on the list of "If you had to pick the top five..." and the other four would just be discussion points. She is a gift to our sport.

A great story, wonderful read. Thank you for sharing, John!

I always wondered what had become of Ann Trason. In my eyes, she was the strongest female ultra runner, and I could not imagine why she stopped at the height of her career.

Wonderful to read that she's finding coaching and counseling new athletes rewarding. They certainly can learn a lot from her. I'd give anything to have her as my pacer at some 100-miler!

        Run for fun.

I find Ann to be such an inspiration ... thank you for posting!

            Are we there, yet?

Thanks for the link, John. It's strange how an article like this can both show how human an elite is, yet also how far above the rest of us they are when it comes to performance.
